the show is about whores and thieves and murderers. blood and semen and an exposed boob are the sorts of things you see when you hang out with whores and thieves and murderers. i doubt that brecht & weill's idea for the song is for polly (or jenny, depending on which version it is) to wow the crowd with one of the greatest theatre songs ever written. seeing blood and semen and nudity does not make it "random pornography". nor would sticking the pirate jenny song into a skin flick make it expressionist german musical theatre.
