I understood the argument, and that it what I was reacting to. I've just never seen a situation where that would be accomplished. The young man understudying has multiple parts. Whereas it is true Cumming has done this and may need less attention, everyone else hasn't, and at the time this argument would have the understudy rehearsing, he and the rest of the cast would be in 10 out of 12s or rehearsing days and performing nights. Contractually, he can't work over 60 hours regardless. So I really think this is a case of conjecturing about the impossible. Speaking of which, yes it would be cool to see what Burstein would do with this.
