these thoughts- cogent and informed as they are- don't really explain why BRIDGES hasn't been drawing an audience. only people who'd seen the show could feel that way.

as popular as the book and movie were, the idea of a musicalized version of it seems boring to me. I didn't really want to see it but I found myself in midtown with thre hours to spare and got a seat at tkts and surprisingly really liked it. but if I were the kind of person who only goes to the theatre if I've made a plan, it probably wouldn't have happened.
