Actually, I think Wand's accent is that exaggerated. She herself is not Puerto Rican, and she referred to approximating Rita's accent as one of her biggest challenges. (She also stopped singing the song mid-way at the concert I saw proclaiming "this song was a pain in the ass then and it's a pain in the ass now.")

She also found it outrageous that Rita did not thank her when she won her Oscar, which is more than a little ridiculous. Rita did not give one of those speeches in which she thanked so many people that the omissions were glaring. She was plainly shocked and said very little.
