I do think there's a hesitancy - I certainly had it, after finding the book and movie maudlin. It was the prospect of seeing and hearing O'Hara and Pasquale a new Jason Robert Brown show (and, frankly a far better discount seat than other new shows were offering me). I was not enthralled, but pleasantly surprised with the overall show and I'm very glad I saw it.

Others I've spoken to have expressed the same feelings. I think a lot of those book and movie don't (think they) really want to see more of it.

One thing I felt was a downside was that Francesca seemed ready to hop in bed with him from the get go. She was less symathetic to me than the character in the book.

I did think it was good that Robert wasn't completely defined - it should be easy for each person to fill in some kind of backstory that fits.
