The considerations you express suggest to me that this is not the show for you. There is really no logical connection between what something costs and what it is "worth" except on an individual basis. Demand is, after all, a function of a myriad of individual choices. Some people spend a fortune for vacations where they sleep on planks in unelectrified huts; others spend a fortune sleeping on thousand thread count sheets with a chambermaid in the hall to make and unmake the bed while illuminated by priceless crystal chandeliers. Re pricing: it is well to remember that this show was calling out for a Broadway transfer where the pricing would have seemed cheap, and would be on Broadway now were it not for the impracticality. Out from under the non-profit umbrella, the show's costs are higher across the board, and there is also the element of risk-quite real I think-that the producers must absorb. Sometimes each of us has to simply look at an offering and put it in the "not for me" category.
