Thanks for this Jessie. I am emphatically not an Idina fan - I really do not like her style of singing. Given she is not a reason for me to see it, I had been wondering whether the book/score would provide sufficient incentive but your comments reinforce other opinions I've heard that suggest the work itself has issues.
