Idina Menzel does have her fans from “Rent,” “Wicked” and “Glee.”

But the stats I uncovered while writing my review are impressively indicating she’s become a household name among the general public.

-- Her performance of “Let It Go” on the Oscar telecast with 43.7 viewers achieved additional traction by the song’s win, and, of course, mostly by John Travolta’s flub of her name (“Adele Dazeem”) in his introduction.

-- Her soon-after appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s highly rated “Tonight Show” where she chatted about the flub and sang “Let It Go” now has over 9,130,000 hits on YouTube. Watch it here.

-- Her Oscar telecast appearance established her to millions as the person behind the voice of the main character in “Frozen.”

-- That movie is well past the $1 billion mark in worldwide grosses (achieved in early March). This weekend, its U.S. domestic gross will exceed $400 million.

-- Disney reported that 3.2 million units of the “Frozen” DVD/Bluray were sold on the first day of release.

-- The movie soundtrack has sold over 1.6 million copies.

-- Idina Menzel’s single of “Let It Go” reached #5 last week on Billboard’s chart.
