And something like ROCK OF AGES is meant for the theatre savvy crowd?

And Harlequin Romances sell big.

I suspect this musical isn't being marketed all that well or has found their target audience.

To me, the show has very similar elements as ONCE (small, bittersweet story of two people in love where one is married). I think ONCE has done a far better job tapping into a target audience (that Riverdance crowd does like their Irish stepdancing) and maybe BRIDGES should take a excerpt from that show's playbook.

Then again, BRIDGES the musical spends more time with the husband, ONCE (and BRIDGES the film) tones down the role of the husband so audiences don't feel like we're being complicit in an adulterous affair. Maybe that is playing some part here.

Personally, this is at the top of my list for the score and the cast. I hope it lasts long enough for me to see it.
