Did Villela and Parker only do one preview performance before a paying audience before they were fired? It's a shame someone like Tommy Rall or Michael Berresse didn't get a chance to play Joey in a big venue sometime during their careers.

Please, give us a few words about the performance. Was there no hope? I've been imagining Parker singing WHAT IS A MAN? for many years now. Was there not just the tiniest glimmer of hope that she might grow into Vera?
