"I just think that the suggestion that going on (at least in a role that has a significant amount of movement involved) without any rehearsal is a 'good thing' or something that is expected of an actor or something to be proud of is a dangerous notion." Is someone saying it's a good thing? I haven't said it. I thought I'd made that clear. It is, however, expected of understudies, at least sometimes.
