Congratulations Rosie, beyond giving us Theater Queens a weekly theater fix on The Rosie O'Donnell Show introducing the world to the likes of Sutton Foster, Kristen Chenoweth, and shows like Titanic, you introduced all new generations to excitement we know as Broadway. And following with Rosie's Theater Kids in a world where sports is all that matters in schools now as the arts all but abandoned. Thanks and well deserved.

Agree with all you wrote. In hindsight, her ongoing contribution to the media dialog about New York theater only seems more courageous. A nationally syndicated show is not a place one would normally find such "local" focus. She made it part of her show, and I still remember the pleasure it provided.

As a kid I watched her show religiously and it introduced me to so much theatre I would never have found out about. It's a shame that no one since has made such a strong commitment to promoting Broadway. I think this honor is long overdue.

I watched that show EVERY day. I was transported from my small, rural town to the big lights of Broadway-got to see Betty Buckley, Bernadette Peters and Nathan Lane right in my living room.

Thank you, Rosie!!! I needed that little escape-and the inducement to come to NYC one day.

I admire her for promoting arts education as well as live theater. She is really an inspiration that way.
