I'm not sure where you're getting "might save me $2 in service charges." Their discounts vary, but right now I could get tickets to Bullets over Broadway from $43-$63 below list price, If/Then for $43 below list price, and All The Way for $48 below list price, to name just three examples. And while you can't choose specific seats, you can choose what section you want to sit in. And the app is free, so if I manage to find a discount there that's better than what I can find elsewhere, I'm literally getting something for nothing.

You can get tickets for all three of those shows for the same prices using discount codes from Playbill.com. That way you can pick your seats and buy them at the box office to pay no fees. Or just pay the Telecharge/Ticketmaster fees which are comparable to TodayTix charging a $10 fee per ticket. This service just seems like it is for people who have no idea where to find discount codes.

Don't really see how having to meet someone outside the theater is more convenient than just picking up the tickets at will call. The will call lines are never long, like this release wants you to believe.

Plus, do they have to employ one "concierge" per show? I can imagine people showing up late so concierges can't really bounce between theaters to try to give out all the tickets within 30 minutes. Seems like a bit of a flawed business model to pay for all these concierges.

I used the app last weekend for the first time and I was very impressed all around, by the discounts, the seats, and the customer service. I would recommend it highly.

what is the advantage of using this app? i've heard friends speak of using it (they were happy with it as well) but i just assumed they were getting better discounts or discounts to shows with discounts unavailable elsewhere. reading one of the posts above confused me. if the post is correct and you're getting the same discount what is the advantage? thanks.
