cabaret revival

Posted by: castro 10:18 pm EDT 04/01/14

I have seen many productions of Cabaret including the original. This revival has a disappointing leading performance by Michelle Williams. The production still has Alan Cumming's Emcee to drive it, but Bill Heck and William's Sally Bowles don't bring much to the table. Linda Emond is fine as Fraulein Schneider and Danny Burstein gives a tender performance as Herr Schultz but their story becomes central as the leads are not very compelling.
