Susan Stroman article-THE NEW YORKER--got a fact wrong

Posted by: NJGUY 01:47 pm EDT 04/02/14

The quite lengthy article in last week's New Yorker spoke about how Stro went on a national tour of Chicago with Jerry Orbach, Chita Rivera and Gwen Verdon. That is not true. I saw the touring production in January,1978 in Baltimore Maryland and only Jerry Orbach from the original cast was in it; also featured Carolyn Kirsch and Lenora Nemetz. Anyway, this is quite disturbing since fact checking was one of The New Yorker's hallmarks. Also the article was so upbeat about her professional work. They could have focused on some of her duds like young Frankenstein.
