Harveys CASA VALENTINA

Posted by: NewtonUK 09:14 am EDT 04/03/14

Saw the (I think) 2d preview last night. Way too early. Much line uncertainty from 2-3 actors, slow deliveries and pick ups.

A lot of just sitting around talking, and the dialogue seems (to me) tireseomely like 'special pleading' - like a book on an arcane topic, not quite adapted into dialogue, so people just speak large swathes of 'talking points'.

I think those pre-disposed to the subject matter (the creation of A life affirming association for tranvestites) will be moved and entertained whether these problems are fixed or not.

In any event, I'd stay away for a week or two until the show settles in.
