Still a mess. It has no forward momentum, except occasionally in the scenes--most of which I recognized from the movie, where they were far more charming. Mazzie and Yorke do what they can with roles so identified with Wiest and Tilly. But the show is clunky. Not once did a song moment thrill me. Isn't this a musical? I think it's a damn shame Bullets is going to be this year's "Best Musical."
