No more general rush

I went to the box office on 9/13 and was told they no longer sell general rush. I guess towards the end of the run, the tickets are selling well too. My 8pm performance was sold out and SRO tickets were sold. I think that's a good option.

It's my understanding that there is a $40 general rush at Lady Day when the box office opens. Is this still in effect? Has anyone had any success with it? How early does one recommend getting to the box office?

I don't think they set aside specific seats for the rush. When I did it (back in May), I was in the center section--the 100s--a few rows from the back. Great view for this particular production.
