STUPID F***ING BIRD

Daughter Rebecca and I are seeing the preview of this take on THE SEAGULL at Boston Court tonight. This continues our riffing on Chekhov theme from VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, which we'll extend with THE COUNTRY HOUSE at the Geffen next month.

We did something similar with Ibsen a while back, seeing HEDDATRON (with robots!) and Jeff Whitty's THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF HEDDA GABLER, and HEDDA GABLER, updated to 1950s New York--but that trifecta took about two and a half years to complete.

This is what happens when you raise your kid to be a dramaturg. :)
