Feinstein's at the Nikko

As chance would have it, we will be visiting San Francisco when Linda Eder is performing at Feinstein's, and the one evening we're free during her stint is our friends' 42nd wedding anniversary. Never having been to this venue, can anyone offer advice on the "Upfront" vs. "Premium" seating, which seem to be the only two options, and how early one must arrive for the best seat within each area? Thanks so much!
