play reading advice?

Posted by: dooey 03:09 pm EDT 08/03/14

I hope this isn't too random, but...

I'm looking to read some new plays (searching for my next play to direct, ultimately), and hoping to get some suggestions.

I'm looking for something somewhat contemporary. Two of my favorite plays are RABBIT HOLE and SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION. Can you think of any other plays that are of that ilk? I guess what I like about those is that they are smart and funny, yet pack a punch by taking on deeper issues.

Thanks for any suggestions that might meet those criteria.

(Yes, I've read GOOD PEOPLE, and I just finished a Neil Labute binge.)
