Off the top of my head, these are some pretty great plays from the last few years you should look at:
DISGRACED by Ayad Akhtar
RUINED by Lynn Nottage
BECKY SHAW by Gina Gionfriddo
SPEECH & DEBATE by Stephen Karam
SONS OF THE PROPHET by Stephen Karam
What can I say? I like Stephen Karam.
