My 2 faves these days in Harvard Sq are Giulia, a fantastic Italian restaurant with a young, imaginative chef about a 10 minute walk from the ART, and Alden & Harlow, just up the street from the theater, which serves very creative small plates. You would need to reserve but I bet either one can take you at 5:30. Rialto and Harvest are good (and expensive) but rather boring compared to these 2 newcomers. The best burger in the square is at Mrs. Bartley's Burger Cottage. The best sandwiches are made at Cardullo's Deli. Enjoy!
