I'm going to say a few more words about The Language Archive... The original post mentioned "packing a punch" (may not be an exact quote). I was sobbing at the end of The Language Archive. Absolutely sobbing. And the friend sitting next to me was in even worse shape. She couldn't get up from her seat for a few minutes, she was so overcome with emotion.

It is a gorgeous play (that also happens to read beautifully, which isn't always the case). I'm gobsmacked that it didn't get a better critical reception when it played in New York (a few raves, but a fair amount of indifference).
