perfectlyfrank - I understand what you're saying but I think the musical would have become too dreary if it had just concentrated on the relationship between Barrie and Peter and Sylvia.

I was glad this adaptation didn't try to recreate the film scene by scene. It would have been pointless.

I do think the first two numbers don't really do much for the show.

It would be hard to find the equivalent of Highmore who really was a singular actor at his young age. I do agree the actor in the musical isn't on the same level but he is very good and it really is early in previews.
