NYT confirms Helen Mirren Returning to Broadway With ‘The Audience’

Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in “The Queen,” and an Olivier Award for her performance as the queen in “The Audience,” a hit on the London stage last year, will extend her realm when “The Audience” comes to Broadway next year. The play is to begin previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater on Feb. 17 and open on March 8. It is scheduled to run through June 28...
