And the Tony goes to...HELEN MIRREN. That is it.

And I can't wait to see her! I am a huge Helen Mirren fan (it's one thing my mom and I agree on-she's able to reach across the generational gap very nicely.)

Caught The Audience in London and realized this is why I love theatre so much. Mirren and the play were terrific. She will lay claim to the Tony for sure.

Helen Mirren was in "Mourning becomes Electra" at the British National Theatre with Eve Best, amazingly it was 11 years ago.

At the performance I saw during a very heated scene between the two of them the lights suddenly went out on stage by mistake, they stopped the scene and they came back up a minute later. Mirren was so composed simply giving "and now" and they both flew back into the heat of the argument. I thought it was such a professional moment so well handled by both actresses.

Can't wait to see "The Audience" here.

Jim-I might be the only one more excited than you. She's one of my very favorite actresses. I think she's also just a cool person (to put it in the vernacular). I love how she doesn't seem to take herself too seriously and yet when she is acting she's fully invested.

No EGOT for Helen yet, if she manages a Tony for "The Audience" She still needs a Grammy... but look up what awards she's won and it's ridiculous. Just about every one out there for Television and Film. And why not?

She can do a book on tape to get the Grammy. I think she's a frontrunner for the Tony.
