genet spoke about the casting of THE MAIDS himself, somewhere. i just don't feel like looking for where. i have a friend taking great delight in rubbing my nose in the fact that he's seeing it and i'm not. he's got me thinking about the play. if i decide to read it again i'll go looking for the quote.
