Jimmy Fallon talked about the Cinderella casting last night.

Did anyone see this?

I guess Fallon and his writers forgot about the ubiquitous Brandy version on video?

Sorry to be a party pooper, but I thought it was a lame, unfunny joke in a whole segment of lame, unfunny jokes. I admit I've never watched Fallon's show - is he always this weak?

You obviously haven't caught enough of Jimmy Fallon. And to assess his skills on the basis of one monologue is not very fair.

Personally, I think his writing, material, and skits have brought a breath of fresh air to late night television.

His choice of moving the show from the West to East coasts, I feel, was inspired. He often features stars of Broadway and highlights the shows.

I don't expect you to agree with me, and I am certainly not the last word on talk show success. I guess the old adage "Different strokes for different folks" applies here, too....

Did you happen to see his band's brilliant version of "Let It Go" with Idina Menzel? Or his question/answer segment with Audra as Billie Holiday -- singing responses a la Lady Day? Hilarious!

Wow. Well, the articles are clear about it being Broadway's first Cinderella... not ever performing the show, just on Broadway. Fallon and his writers didn't invent the news item.

And I disagree about the joke... I think it was a smart and funny way to address it. Come on, the Prince taking the shoe around because he doesn't know how to describe the girl he's looking for as black without sounding racist? That's very clever.
