No assumptions made, you are a theater goer who believes Finding Neverland the movie on which this is based should have dancing and songs like "Play" in it. I get it. Most theatre goers would probably agree that's what they got to the theater for. Mia Michaels has created such wonderful ethereal dance segments for SYTYCD that I thought she would be perfect for the type of musical that I thought would have been inspired by Finding Neverland. Instead IMO she fell into the standard Broadway musical adaptation trap and did what she could with what the dance opportunity the book gave her. The dance segments she did come up with in themselves were fantastic and I would love to see them on SYTYCD but not in the adaptation of such a beautiful movie. Book, Music and lyrics let her down.
