Is there any place to have a light meal near 59E59 Street. I'm going to see a play there Sunday evening.

I recommend Todd English Food Hall in the basement of the Plaza.

I like The Bar Room, 117 East 60th, between Park and Lex. It looks like just a bar from the front, but through the bar is a restaurant in the back area, nicely lighted by skylights. Good food, too.

These are all good suggestions, though my friend coming with me said she's planning to just get a salad. I want a pretty simple meal. I may keep these in mind for other occasions. Patsy is the only menu where the entrees aren't approaching $25-$30.

There is a diner on 60th in the middle of the same block as the theatre if you are looking for a simple meal.
