I worry about your last sentence/concern there. That is my concern as well. (Also, in reality the twins could have been safely separated I think. According to an article, they shared no major organs. However, they were shuttled off to showbiz. I think psychologically by the time they were adults they were connected to a degree where it might have been damaging.)
