I really hope she does it. There aren't tons of roles she's right for, but Miss Mona is certainly one of them.

(Opposite Tom Wopat, perhaps?)

Tom Wopat would be good in the role. He'd probably make more sense than Brent Barrett, who played Frank Butler to her Annie Oakley.

I saw Tom Wopat do this role in a tour production, about 10 or 11 years ago. He was very good.

There was a tour that passed through Boston in 2001 that was hoping to eventually get to Broadway with Ann-Margret making her Broadway debut.A CD from the production was sold in the lobby.
