Do Actors Strive to be Famous?

Posted by: Zelgo 12:09 pm EDT 08/08/14

Fame allows actors to take control of their careers and pick and choose roles better (and generally become wealthier). It also comes with tons of downsides.

Do actors, in general, strive to be famous?

American actors do. That's for sure. And that's why this country has so many celebrities and fewer and fewer serious actors.

Most of today's "celebrities" aren't actors.

I don't think there's an "in general" answer to this question.
