It was in October of '71 that I saw Company in Ann Arbor.

Ah, then you must have seen Chakiris. Maharis did a stock tour with Vivian Blaine that played a number of the in-the-round venues on the East Coast.

And, of course, Vivian also participated in the stock tour of "Follies" which played similar, if not the same, in-the-round venues including Houston's Sharpstown Arena Theatre. oh dear. Some memories will simply not go away.
