More love for Tom Andersen at Don't Tell Mama`

Posted by: Ann 11:59 pm EDT 08/09/14

Wow, what a great show. His arrangement (I think with James Followell) of "All 'Er Nothin'" is brilliant, and the rest of the show is very well suited to Andersen's considerable vocal talents. Missed him for 10 years - so glad he's back. One more show on the 16th, I think.

Thanks, Ann. Besides that sexy ''All Er Nothin'' from ''Oklahoma!,'' Tom puts his own spin on other showtunes that Broadway fans might enjoy: ''Our Time'' (''Merrily We Roll Along''), ''There's a Fine, Fine Line'' (''Avenue Q'') and ''The Journey Home'' (''Bombay Dreams''). And he lends his silky tenor to ''Storybook'' (''The Scarlet Pimpernel'') and turns it into a jazz waltz.

And, yes, there's one more show Saturday (Aug. 16) at 7 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama.
