Wouldn't having Wendy be pregnant in the final scene alter the intent of the ending? If the audience assume that the "real" reason that Wendy isn't going to Neverland is her pregnancy, the implication of that is that she WOULD be going if she wasn't heavily pregnant at that moment.

And the whole point of the ending is that Neverland is a place for kids, not grown-ups. Wendy can't go back simply because she's grown up, not for any other reason.
