I was a student in London in the spring of '77 and saw it twice (2nd time was for free because someone had extra tickets and just gave them away but they were way, way up...not that I'm complaining. Just pointing out he wasn't losing a fortune. Anyway, I digress. Apparently the original West End cast of ACL were Americans and I saw the first British replacement cast. Someone named Petra (you never forget that name) was the Cassie. The cast was pretty poor if you ask me. Most if not all of the cast could not speak in an American accent. It was funny hearing someone say that he was from the Bronx like the guy in the Grey Poupon ad. So, after all of this rambling the answer is no, you did not see Donna.
