I did a production of it with a teen group last summer. MTI's upcoming productions page shows mostly schools (high schools and colleges), and that makes sense to me. Though I'm surprised that, with so many small regional theatres around the country, that we don't hear of more professional productions - but maybe the movie will put the show in producer's minds a bit more. It's not a perfect show, but I do think it's a good one.

The so-called "dog song" ("Times Like This" is a very popular stand-alone song - I wouldn't doubt that it's actually on a number of "do not sing" lists at auditions, at least given my experience with people choosing to sing it.
