My sense is that the popularity in non-professional theatres of SEUSSICAL has also generated interest.

Of Ahrens and Flaherty's shows, this one is going to be one of the easiest for non-professional theatres to mount. It's small in scale, doesn't require a lot of sets, and is not a period piece with a need for racks of special costumes.

Not for nothing, but it also can be colorblind cast with little or no issue, as we see in the film trailer.
