I know people who live well away from NYC but come in twice a year and see six, seven shows in a week. That means they most likely see more shows total in a year than most New Yorkers.

I'm one of them--depending on schedules I can sometimes cram in 8 or 9 from Wed - Sun alone. I've been to NY twice a year for 20 years for 1 week each time, so I've spent 40 weeks or 10 months in New York all told.

I don't really think of myself as a tourist anymore, although I don't live there, of course. I even have a regular barber, and the people at "my" Starbucks know my drink.

Oh, and I always see the new stuff, of course. That's the point of the trip.
