I was shocked by his death. I use to see him on the streets of San Francisco and on many occasions at charity events. We always chatted when we met about the Hollywood days. I first met him on the set of "Club Paradise" in 1985. Most of the movie was filmed in Jamaica but interiors were shot on the Burbank lot. I was part of Peter Hannan crew and I got a chance to talk to him. He always was so funny talking the crew on the set. Later I would run into him and he remember me. A wonderful guy and oh so funny both on and off screen.
