I am wondering how the Brits are doing with American accents in other US originated shows. Has to be better than that experience.

It's hard to make a general statement; I think it's still a case of some actors having a facility with accents while others don't. But there's no question that Brits like Damian Lewis and Hugh Laurie (in, respectively, Homeland and House) have displayed impeccable American accents. And half the case of Band of Brothers (a series about an American combat unit) was British, and it was very difficult to determine which cast members WEREN'T American - that's how good their accents were.
