The West End cast was told at the time of their closing that a New York production was not going to happen. That might have changed, but I think if someone here wanted it, we would know by now. As rapturous as the British critics were, Brantley was quite mixed on the piece. For me, Olivier award notwithstanding, the play isn't really sophisticated enough to do well in New York (of course, I feel the same way about "The Nether", so we'll have to see that goes down when it premieres at MCC).
