My odd Sticks and Bones experience (spoiler, sort of)

I suppose there is a sort of a spoiler below.

When I saw a Wednesday matinee of Sticks and Bones, something happened that I had never seen before and I have never seen since.

At the end of the play, when things got very, very upsetting and the violence started, people got up and left in droves. I've seen a few shows where an awful lot of people walked out over the course of the show, but every other time I've seen that happen, it's been a few here and then a few more a few minutes later.

At Sticks and Bones, I'd guess that a good third (maybe more) of the folks in the orchestra decided they'd had enough of all this anti-American, anti-family stuff (or that they simply couldn't deal with watching the violence) at more or less the same time and took immediate action to get out.

I was seated near the back of the orchestra. (That's how I could be sure that it was really a huge percentage of the audience.)
