“MUSE” ANNOUNCES TOUR AND NEW CAST MEMBER

Theater For The New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director)
presents the Shakespeare's Sister Company's co-production of Kris Lundberg's play
MUSE (part of the 2014 Dream Up Festival)

Even before MUSE completes its run in Theatre for the New City’s Dream-Up Festival, Shakespeare's Sister Company has solidified dates for the production out-of-town.

The announcement of the tour necessitated a cast change: Greg Pragel joins the cast as Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Greg’s touring experience includes in the national tours of The Diary of Anne Frank (Peter Van Dann) and Fiddler on the Roof (Motel)
Ms. Lundberg portrays model Elizabeth Siddal, the woman who changed his life forever.

Based on a true story, this Victorian love story finds painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti, destitute, reliving his torrid affair and brief marriage to Elizabeth Siddal, his model, his muse ... his greatest passion.
What follows is a symphony of emotions as complex as the paintings of Rossetti, Hunt, Millais … and Siddal.

The production is directed by Jay Michaels, best known for his unique twists on classical works.
