Not that the dimming for one's passing negates the dimming for another's...but it is disappointing when people who have dedicated their lives to, and made significant contributions to, Broadway are not given the honor simply because they are not as famous or visible.

Among others, thinking particularly of Barry Moss, who cast 80+ Broadway productions and gave many famous actors their big breaks and Rosemary Murphy, who appeared in 16 or so Broadway shows and was nominated for 3 Tony Awards.

I completely agree that Robin Williams was a unique talent and will and should be remembered; however this is not the appropriate tribute...especially on the same day that Lauren Bacall passed. Betty was also a unique talent and she graced the Broadway stage (as well as theaters elsewhere) far more than Williams did. On this particular day, if lights on Broadway were to be dimmed, they should have been for Lauren, who contributed to our enjoyment of both theater and cinema for 70 years.
