Saw it and left during intermission. Not only did it stink but so did the theatre. As for the "superfluous tapping," I thought a tap dance number in this show made as much sense as having one in 1776 or Man of La Mancha. But then again, it was the only thing I enjoyed about this show. I did listen to the album on Spotify and thought the music was good and the show's band is really good. But then again, there's no excuse not to have first rate musicians in a New York.

I left at intermission too. There are a lot of talented performers involved, but it was too loud. I didn't care about any of the characters, and there seemed no reason to set the show inside a man's body.

Also, they had technical glitches with the video. We had to wait while they rebooted the computer and then started the show again from the very top, including the cell phone announcement. I hope they now regularly reboot the computer before every performance.

Shindle, a gorgeous woman, looks so unattractive and shrill in the photo to boot. Nobody is coming off well here!

Shindle DID look unattractive, surprising me too, sitting in the first row. While it is partly the costume and the hairdo--not inappropriate for the character--I do believe Shindle has put on weight.
