They should include their friendly verbiage that they sent in their email yesterday in this press release too.

I also took umbrage at that. SO over the top obnoxious and heavy handed. They were in an ornery mood. Let's wrist slap the freeloaders for giggles!

Also, the few times I've gone the past couple of years, I've noticed the audience is predominantly now college-student age. (Their website mentions they sell $10 student tickets to all their shows).

While a noble cause, it hardly can keep a theater company open. They may want to limit the student tickets per performance. Remaining tickets can instead be allocated to TKTS, TDF, discount half-price sites like playbill.com and papering for the rest.

(Other theater companies seem to be selling a TON of $10 and $20 more frequently too. I'd like to see how their financials are.)

That would be awesome. Student circle of friends is probably more $10 student potential patrons, perpetuating the cycle! OTOH, a lot of formerly papered companies are going the $10-$20 route, which inconveniences me.
