Rupert Holmes is on the No. 1 album in the country

Rupert Holmes's "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" is one of the tracks on the current No. 1 album in the country, the soundtrack to "Guardians of the Galaxy."

"Escape" was a No. 1 pop hit when first released in 1979, but I think this is the first time Holmes has been on a No. 1 album as a performer. He wrote two songs that appeared on the "A Star is Born" soundtrack as sung by Barbra Streisand.

Incidentally, Streisand apparently recorded a version of "Moonfall" from Drood that was never released. I would love to hear it someday!
